I've been spending a lot of time at the studio lately (hurray for vacations from work!). I've got 4 new pieces in progress, they're coming along slowly but surely. The next SNAC show is going to be entitled "Small Works" I've got a couple pieces to fit the theme, but am trying to build a larger body. I've also started working on paper. It's been a really long time since I've worked on the surface. I ordered a small amount from Utrecht, apparently I didnt read the description well on it because this paper is thin as hell! Oh well, I'm going to try and make due and see how the acrylic and oil hold up on it. Just sort of experimenting right now and seeing where it takes me. I'm trying to encorporate more drawing and mark making techniques into these new pieces. Here are a couple pics of the most finished of the two...not sure exactly where they'll end up just yet.
